Best grilled chicken sub I've ever had. They have a signature sub called the Royal, steak & cheese and fresh veggies. It's not on the menu but, I asked if I could swap the steak for chicken she said yes. The result was perfectly grilled fresh chicken breast, fresh onion , green peppers, tomatoes and lettuce on a toasted sub roll with provolone cheese and small coating of mayonnaise. I'm a weekender in the area and now a regular at Artie's.

The food is ok, but I was horrified to see that the owners display a Confederate flag in the restaurant. What's a Confederate flag doing in NH (never mind anywhere)? Apparently the wife is from West Virginia and proud to display this racist symbol. Thanks to our founding fathers and our brave armed services, it's a free country. Thus, you are free to choose NOT to frequent an establishment like this one whose owner thinks the Confederate flag is a positive symbol. We will never go back.

Place was empty which should have been enough to keep me away. Ordered a chicken finger sub with provolone & honey mustard then walked through the indoor yard sale to a dirty, discussing bathroom. Months of cobwebs hanging. Immediately I started thinking about how clean the kitchen was.
Sandwich came out and it looked like something my young daughter made. Chicken was undercooked and fries were out of a bag, over cooked and tasteless.
Three of us ate. We all had the same opinion of the place. Nice people making bad food in a dirty environment. -

Classic sub shop. Good food, friendly people. Ive always ordered subs and sides which were all good. Its definitely worth the 5 minutes to go here instead of SubWay (I'm still bitter that the Bad Moose is gone)

Without a doubt, hands down, the best steak and cheese sub I have ever had. We have heard so much about this place but hadn't been able to get there until now. We will definitely be back, and often.
